![]() ![]() The AI handles combat very well often performing clever moves you wouldn't expect. The AI to play this game obviously had to be extremely complex and the guys at MicroProse did a decent job with it. By finishing quests, you gain rewards including power-ups, extra life, and better cards. ![]() The game allows for basic one-on-one, but also a story games which requires you to roam around a world map seeking new cards, treasure, and battling monsters. Rules are right out of the book so there is no need for interpretation and the game does a good job at displaying how things are going to go down. That aside, the game is remarkably similar to the real card game. The game purposely does not have an undo which is very unforgiving to mistakes. The rules are so strict and the interface has such a sharp learning curve that many early players are turned off by it. Unfortunately, this was the game's undoing. Although several games were released regarding the Magic: The Gathering card game, the MicroProse game was the first one to properly emulate and enforce the game's rules. ![]()
